Hermes Arroyo was born in San Miguel de Allende, México and studied Fine Arts in Monterrey. As a dedicated student of Sacred Religious Art, Hermes apprenticed many years in the studio of one of Mexico' s most talented Masters: Don Genaro. To this day, Hermes remains passionate in his creation and restoration of religious artifacts and saints in his own studio. Hermes has been a dedicated Special Education Art teacher for the past 20 years in the city of Comonfort, México, just outside of San Miguel. Both Hermes and the Arroyo family are major participants in the secular and religious festivals of San Miguel de Allende. They are often invited to other Mexican cities along with the mojigangas to showcase Mexican Pride of this traditional folk art form. The Arroyo sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and grandchildren are also an integral part of the talent pool in the studio. Hermes is deeply engaged in preserving the traditional core artistry of the mojigangas while developing its expansive potential as an artistic genre.

Cindi Olsman was born in Philadelphia and studied in Argentina, Peru and Spain. She received a Ph.D in Psychology in 1984 from Temple University, in Philadelphia. Since childhood, Cindi has been a passionate student of art in various forms. She fell in love "at first sight with the Mojigangas over 10 years ago when she saw them on display in San Miguel de Allende. The following day, in a moment of divine providence, she met Hermes and began as a student in his studio, located then, behind the altar of a small chapel. A few seasons later she moved to the studio located nearby in the Arroyo home. Through the years, Hermes and Cindi have become great friends and artistic colleagues in the genre of the Giant (mojiganga). Their sense of humor, aesthetics and camaraderie have inspired them both to find new and exciting contexts for the puppets. Cindi and Hermes also have several puppets in the Philadelphia area (puppetsonparade.com). Cindi also styles and organizes both small and large events and weddings. She became a consummate professional in the hospitality industry by working in various capacities in her family's restaurant /nightclub over the years and on numerous charity and For-profit events. Her styling and organizational skills span many different themes and venues.
